Why Visit Corfu Print E-mail
So Why visit Corfu? because it's much more than just another holiday resort. It's an island of pleasing contrasts, and one of the most beautiful islands of Greece, with something for everyone. The beautiful, busy town of Corfu has sophisticated shopping, welcoming bars and a wonderful range of cosmopolitan restaurants. The North Corfu coastline is idyllic and fascinating, with its sheltering rocky coves, opening out onto long sandy beaches. Much of the island is covered with a sea of a different kind - a vast swell of undulating olive groves from which ancient villages emerge like isolated islands.

The North East coast is an area of incredible natural beauty. Bays and coves of clean white pebbles nestle between rocky promontories, sheltered by the massive grey crags of Mount Pantokrator. A holiday here is an uncomplicated affair - a suitable holiday wardrobe need consist of little more than swimsuits, sarongs and flip flops.

There can surely be no better way to unwind than to relax out on the sun terrace of your Villa in Corfu, or potter about in a boat, dropping into a small cove for a long a lazy meal, or relaxing at the end of the day with a drink, watching the sun go down.

A desire for activity is soon satisfied by waterskiing, wind surfing or dinghy sailing, for all of which the North of Corfu offers ideal conditions.
